All our products are extracted from coconut husks. By using a variety of processing methods, we produce three materials: coco peat, coco chips and coco fibre.
Raw materials
Raw material husk received in our production facility are stored for at least six weeks, after which further processing can begin. The husks are defibred to remove the fibres, which leaves us with coco peat or coir dust. The coco peat is stored for ageing process to satbilize coco peat for several months. Then we sieve the coco peat to remove the last remaining fibres. The coco peat is then dried and taken to the pressing shop, where it is compressed into 5kg blocks and briquettes. After this, the products are shipped in sea containers.
Washing
After sieving, we can subject the coco peat to further treatment, e.g. the coco peat can be washed several times according to the requirements. Elements which are freely soluble in water, such as potassium, sodium and chloride, are removed. The salt content is reduced to specific.
Coco fibre
The fibre that were removed by defibring from the husk is an excellent growing medium and improve the capillary action. They are classified and graded based on the thickness, quality, size, then they are washed, dried and compressed.
Coco chips
We create the coco chips from husk. They are good additive for potting soils and an aerated mizture and can hold moisture effectively. Chips are also classified and graded, then they are washed, dried and compressed.
